Hierarchical Technologies for On-Site Medical Imaging
Modern on-site, online medical imaging requires new compute technologies for fast, accurate and robust predictions. In particular, to cope with uncertainties and optimization methods, ensemble simulations have proven an invaluable method, but has been limited due to hardware constraints. Further, hierarchical mathematical models have provided a useful tool to reduce computational time, but has been limited due to memory and scaling effects. Adapted modular highly parallel computational hardware together with suitable mathe matical methods may provide a game-changer for future medical imaging.
